The geological origin and the archaeological remains of the Cholula Valley are in this museum, which also tells the story of the largest pyramidal base in the world, which marked the end of the pre-Hispanic era and the birth of a new culture.

With eight exhibition rooms, this site contains corridors that connect with the tunnels of the Great Pyramid and the public park, it also includes pieces related to the Pueblan ceramics, alebrijes collection and video mapping projections around Mexico as World Heritage.

The Regional Museum of Cholula is located in the Psychiatric Hospital of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a building inaugurated in 1910 by Porfirio Diaz, which chronicles the history and spirit of Cholollan.
